Lennon and McCartney, friends forever :3

Check out what Paul McCartney had to say about his dear friend John. If you can't read it, it says:

It's impossible to sum up in a short letter how & why I love John, but here are a few thoughts.

I love him because .... he was a mate through our teenage years in Liverpool, he was the guy I sat across from as we worked out how to write songs, he was the man I admired as we evolved through the madness of fame, fortune, and 'fabness', and he was, and still is, the heroic figure whose wit and wisdom, with a little help from his friends, shaped the thoughts and lives of millions of people.

Lennon's Nine commandments.

"All you need is Love".

1. When in doubt, all thou needst is love.

"I don't believe in killing whatever the reason".

2. Thou shallt not kill. All life has value.

"I'm not going to change the way I look or the way I feel to conform to anything. I've always been a freak. So I've been a freak all my life and I have to live with that, you know. I'm one of those people".

3. Thou shallt love yourself no matter what.

"Love is a flower you've got to let grow".

4. Though shallt love even your greatest enemy. Remember hate begets war.

"Possession isn't nine-tenths of the law. It's nine-tenths of the problem".

5. Thou shallt value peace, love and happiness over material goods.

"Time you enjoy wasting, was not wasted".

6. Thou shallt enjoy every moment of life, so therefore it is worthwhile.

"If someone thinks peace and love are cliches that must have been left behind in the Sixties, that’s his problem. Peace and love are eternal".

7. Peace and love shall never cease to exist, as it thrives in all of us.

"All we are saying is give peace a chance".

8. Where there is room for fighting, there is room for peace. Choose peace.

"I believe in God, but not as one thing, not as an old man in the sky. I believe that what people call God is something in all of us".

9. We all have the ability to love and hope; we do not have confine ourselves to one religion to do so, and we shall not judge others’ religion.

Lennon was a very wise man, from these famous quotes we drew inspiration to write 9 commandments (9 because of the songs Revolution 9, One Ater 909, #9 Dream). It was his favourite/lucky number. He was an impeccable musician as well as a peace activist, and his legend lives on even after his untimely death.
